Summary
THE AUTHORS STUDY A SIMULTANEOUS HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER PROBLEM FOR A HUMID POROUS MEDIUM. THEY GIVE EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS RESULTS, ESTABLISH THE MACROSCOPIC TRANSPORT EQUATION BY THE HOMOGENIZATION METHOD AND COMPARE THE RESULTS WITH THOSE GIVEN BY THE PHYSICAL METHOD OF VOLUME AVERAN THEY PROVE CONVERGENCE RESULTS AND OBTAIN THE FIRST CORREC THIS MAKES CLEAR HOW THE THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY INTRODUCED BY THE FOURIER'S LAW IS MODIFIED BY THE EVAPORATIONS-CONDENSATIONS TAKING PLACE IN THE PORES.
