Effects and economics of capacity control in air conditioning.

Author(s) : THOMSON R. T. C.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

Energy aspects of capacity control, hence their effects and economics, can be analysed with respect to a system and thereafter to the compression component of the associated refrigeration equipment, and to the cooling mediums. Parameters can be developed of energy ratios, either of cooling capacity or load, or of power absorbed, or of a ratio of power to capacity, all to some datum. These parameters can be related to capital and operating costs.
