Author(s) : MATHISEN H. M., SKARET E.

Summary

A MODEL OF TWO-ZONE MIXING IS USED FOR DESCRIBING AND DEFINING THE CONCEPT OF VENTILATION EFFICIENCY. IT PREDICTS A HIGH VENTILATION EFFICIENCY FOR THE SYSTEMS USING THE PRINCIPLE OF MOVEMENT, BASED ON ADVANTAGE OF STRATIFICATION. TESTS CARRIED OUT IN AN OFFICE OCCUPIED BY 1 OR 2 PEOPLE ARE DESCRIBED. TRACER GAS CONCENTRATIONS, AIR TEMPERATURE AND MOVEMENT WERE MEASURED.
