Effluent heat recovery in a textile mill.
Author(s) : PUCCIANO F. J.
Summary
The heat pumps in industry are not primarily applied to save energy cost, but rather it is the production and environmental benefits that make heat pumps a justifiable decision. In this case a heat pump has solved the hot effluent problem from the process which otherwise would have caused problems with water treatment facilities. The solution offered is typical for any effluent recovery system.
