Summary
A test bed of a steam ejector refrigerant system, able to separate the refrigerant mixture at the ejector outlet, was developed. Some experiments were performed and they confirm that the entrainment ratio is improved when the fluid molecular weight of the refrigerant loop is greater than that of the power loop. On the other hand, a study of the Carnot factor of fluids in the heat exchangers showed that the exergetic losses are very sensitive to the refrigerant mixture type and to its composition. The choice of the optimum mixture, which should take into account this parameter, is not easy.
