Electron-phonon coupling as a mechanism for high-temperature superconductivity.

Author(s) : FULLER-MORA W. W., WOLF S. A., KRESIN V. Z.

Type of article: Article

Summary

The authors solved the Eliashberg gap equations which are valid for arbitrary phonon frequency, electron-phonon coupling constant, and screened Coulomb interaction. They have used values of these data appropriate to the cuprate superconductors, and calculated the density of states, the pair potential, and the value of the gap at T = 0 K.
