Summary

THE MODEL SUPERCONDUCTOR WITH 2 OVERLAPPING CONDUCTION BANDS IS CONSIDERED FOR THE CASE WHEN THE PROCESSES OF INTERBAND SCATTERING ARE OF PRINCIPAL IMPORTANCE. THE EFFECT OF BOTH THE ELECTRON-PHONON ATTRACTION AND THE COULOMB REPULSION BETWEEN THE ELECTRONS BELONGING TO DIFFERENT BANDS UPON THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE IS TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT. IT IS SHOWN THAT WITH THE DETERMINING ROLE OF THE COULOMB INTERACTION THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE MAY SIGNIFICANTLY EXCEED THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE POSSIBLE UNDER THE ELECTRON-PHONON INTERACTION.
