Summary
The author presents a refrigerating plant regulation system, discusses the case of installations containing about 8 tons of refrigerant (ammonia) and comprising cold rooms with a total volume of 34,000 m3 divided into 4 cold rooms at 0 deg C, 13 cold rooms at -25 deg C and 7 freezing tunnels. The refrigerating plant regulating system in question handles the following: cold room regulation, level regulation and compressor control. Optimization of energy consumption and running costs are also described in detail.
