Summary
The paper discusses the technical and economical pros and cons of decentralised automation in refrigeration. By simple points of views it is shown that decentralised automation and standardization lead to increased reliability of the entire refrigeration system. Furthermore, a concept for standardisation of remote control in refrigeration is presented. The paper concludes with an outlook on automation systems expected in the future.
