Summary

This article describes the Newel control system manufactured by Digitel; this system has advantages over conventional systems using thermostats and pressostats, not only for regulating the temperature inside cold stores but also for regulating the pressure and the humidity and defrosting, and for automatic data supply to maintenance centres and for breakdown detection. Another advantage: this technology enables cost reductions at staff and running-cost (particularly defrosting) levels. This system can be used to regulate ventilation-system components.
