Elevating the performances of refrigeration, and thermo-processing (cooling and heating) systems and managerial decision making capabilities using a unique remote and portable monitoring system.

Author(s) : ZEIDLER G.

Summary

A remote and portable monitoring system was developed for refrigeration systems, cold storage refrigerated displays, thermo-processing operations and food safety monitoring. It was successfully introduced commercially in small and very large foodservice operations, markets and mega stores as well as in meat plants and bakeries. it is also used in non-food systems such as hospital pharmacies and research institutes (blood banks, protecting expensive coolers content, environmental chambers and greenhouses). Many other applications are now being tested. The new system operates on the same principles of the wireless main frame system which receives processing data and equipment operation information by connecting the system into the equipment terminal posts. The new portable system is significant lower in cost, simplified to install and operate and is more flexible. The main objective for this development was to provide schools, colleges and other low budget foodservice establishments a sophisticate temperature monitoring system at affordable cost so they can start their own automated HACCP monitoring system with the ability to expand later on.
