THREE PROCEDURES FOR THE HEAT AND HUMIDITY TREATMENT OF AIR IN ONION COLD STORES WITH USE OF REFRIGERATING MACHINES AND LIQUID AND SOLID SORBENTS ARE DISCUSSED. A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE ENERGETIC EFFICIENCY FOR OBTAINING THE THERMAL AND HUMID CONDITIONS REQUIRED BY AIR IN 300 T ONION COLD STORES SHOWED THAT THE SYSTEM WITH THE HIGHEST ENERGY EFFICIENCY IS THE AIR CONDITIONING OF THE ONION COLD STORE WITH AN ABSORBING DESICCANT.
