Summary

THE ELECTRICAL SOIL FREEZING PROTECTION SYSTEMS AS APPLIED IN THE GDR ARE PRESENTED AND COMPARED. THE HEATING CONDUCTOR SPACING GOVERNS BOTH INVESTMENTS SPENDING AND HEATING CONDUCTOR TEMPERATURE AND, THUS, THE ENERGY DISSIPATION TO THE FREEZING ROOM. IT IS DEMONSTRATED THAT HEATING CONDUCTOR SPACINGS IN EXCESS OF 2.5 M ARE ECONOMICAL ONLY WITH THE ADDITIONAL COVERING OF THE HEATING CONDUCTOR INSULATING BOARDS.
