Summary

THE CAUSES OF THE PREMATURE WEAR OF COLD STORE STRUCTURES WERE DETERMINED: FROST HEAVING, LOW FROST RESISTANCE OF CONCRETE, OVERLOADING OF SUPPORTING STRUCTURES AND POOR QUALITY OF MATERIALS. THE ECONOMICALLY ALLOWABLE LEVEL OF QUALITY DECREASE OF THE THERMAL INSULATION OF PERIPHERAL STRUCTURES IS SHOWN. FROM THE ANALYSIS OF THE OPERATING CONDITIONS OF REINFORCED CONCRETE SUPPORTING STRUCTURES, RECOMMENDATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE SPECIFICATION OF THE STRENGTH, FROST RESISTANCE AND TIGHTNESS OF CONCRETE, BASING ON GUARANTEE CONDITIONS OF STRUCTURE LIFETIME FOR THE WHOLE SPECIFIED OPERATING TIME OF COLD STORES.
