Author(s) : PHILLIPS D.
Type of article: Article
Summary
RESEARCH SUGGESTS THAT FOR EVERY 1.7% INCREASE IN FLOW ABOVE THE DESIGN VALUE THERE CAN BE A CORRESPONDING 1.0% INCREASE IN ENERGY CONSUMPTION. A NUMERICAL EXAMPLE IS GIVEN TO SHOW OVERFLOW COSTS. VALVE DETAILS ARE GIVEN AND A TYPICAL CHILLED WATER CIRCUIT DIAGRAM SHOWS THE POSITION OF FLOW CONTROL VALVES. E.W.S.
