Summary
The energy consumption of modern air conditioning systems can be efficiently reduced. Optimized air handling units are able to save more than 50% of the energy costs as compared to conventional recirculating units. In combination with energy-conserving planning concepts it is possible to end up with at least 80% reduction of operating costs.
