Energy efficiency of small refrigeration system powered with variable cooling capacity compressor: case study.

Number: pap. n. 158

Author(s) : NOVAK L.

Summary

This article shows possibility usage of hydrocarbons refrigerants as substitution of HFC refrigerants. There is demonstrated substitution of replacement HFC compressor by HC compressor as first and simplest option. The second presented option is substitution of conventional HC compressor by HC compressor with variable cooling capacity. All presented information in this article has been observed from measurement of the real model. As a real model a, 500 l volume horizontal freezer has been used. Main purpose of this article is to demonstrate simplicity of the process and to show benefits related mainly in terms of ecology. Second purpose of this article is to promote variable speed compressor technology and possibility of usage in small commercial refrigeration system.
