Summary

A theoretical analysis is made for the calculation of the economic efficiency of the operation of screw compressors having geometrical compression ratios or a fixed ratio based on either 100% thermal load or a lesser load. It has been observed that the control of the geometrical compression ratio must be determined as a function of the type of condenser used, of the operating time of the refrigerating plant at variable loads and of the climatic area of the refrigerating plant.
