Energy-efficient homes and buildings: the beauty of efficiency. Intelligent Energy-Europe: project report.
Author(s) : Eur. Comm., Comm. Eur.
Type of monograph: Report
Summary
Buildings consume more energy than any other sector of our economy. They account for around 40% of the energy we consume. Making the buildings we live and work in more energy efficient will bring energy and costs savings, reduce our impact on the environment, and improve living and working conditions. The Intelligent Energy-Europe programme supports a range of projects across the EU designed to reduce the amount of energy old and new buildings consume. This brochure showcases 48 projects of these innovative initiatives. The report can be downloaded (in several languages) from the Web site: http://ec.europa.eu/energy/intelligent/library/doc/ka_reports/buildings08_en.pdf.
