Summary
Demand control ventilation is a great innovation in ventilation control strategy in recent years. Based on the control of indoor and outdoor carbon dioxide differential, it provides an opportunity for the designers and owners to resolve a difficult problem: how to reduce the energy costs while optimising the air quality. This article mainly focuses on the introduction of basic principles, advantages and applications of the demand control ventilation system in comparison with the traditional ventilation systems. Other information related to the installation and usage of demand control ventilation is also provided.
