Energy saving by accumulation of night radiant-evaporative cooled water.

Author(s) : MARKOSKI M. J.

Summary

The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the possibilities of using the small thermal and concentrational nonequilibria which exist at night in ambient conditions. For this purpose three methods of water cooling at night by heat and mass exchange between the water and atmosphere were examined: 1) only by exposure to the open sky; 2) by radiation and dry convection; 3) by radiation and evaporation of water in the unsaturated surrounding air. Applications are described.
