Summary

A 830 KILOW HEAT RECOVERY REFRIGERATING COMPRESSOR HAS BEEN RECENTLY INSTALLED IN A COOLING STATION AT SAN SISTO (PERUGIA). THIS NEW PLANT HAS PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES: INCREASE IN THE TOTAL FREEZING CAPACITY, IMPROVEMENT IN COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE, ENERGY SAVING DUE TO OUTPUT OF WARM WATER AT 318-323 K (45-50 DEG C) AND COLD WATER AT 278 K (5 DEG C). A DUAL CONTROL ENABLES FLEXIBLE COMPRESSOR OPERATION AT OPTIMUM EFFICIENCY.
