Summary

With the retrofitting project of cooling water system of a teaching building in Chongqing, based on the load variation characteristics, analyses the effect of variable flow on energy consumption of water chillers and variable frequency cooling water pumps, and calculates the integrated energy saving rate of different control modes of cooling water flow. As a result, control mode of variable cooling water flow is the key controllable factor to energy saving effect, and the integrated energy saving rate of 37 °C condensing temperature control method is 25.3 %.
