THE AUTHORS INVESTIGATED A DRYING PROCESS FOR CLAY WITH A CLOSED CIRCUIT HEAT PUMP. THE RESULT SHOWS THAT MANY FACTORS AFFECT ENERGY SAVING. THE AUTHORS DISCUSS A COMPRESSION HEAT PUMP SYSTEM, THE COP AND THE MECHANICAL EFFICIENCY WHICH ARE DEDUCED FROM THE FIRST AND THE SECOND LAW OF THERMODYNAMICS.
