ENERGY SAVING IN THE LNG CHAIN.
Author(s) : BAKKE J., BERGERSEN T., KOREN S.
Summary
THE AUTHORS DESCRIBE POSSIBLE SAVINGS IN THE LNG CHAIN INCLUDING LNG TERMINALS WHERE EMPHASIS IS PUT ON DRIVER SELECTION, WASTE HEAT RECOVERY AND COMBINATION OF LNG AND NGL PLANT OPERATION. POSSIBLE ENERGY SAVINGS IN LNG SHIPPING IS DISCUSSED BASED ON DEVELOPMENT WORK BY MRV, AND FINALLY ENERGY SAVING INCLUDING COLD RECOVERY IN RECEIVING TERMINALS IS EVALUATED. UNDER FAVOURABLE CONDITION SHRINKAGE CAN BE IMPROVED FROM 10-15 TO 5-10%. IN ADDITION COMES POSSIBLE ENERGY RECOVERY AT RECEIVING TERMINAL.
