Summary

MEASUREMENTS WERE MADE ON TWO TYPES OF HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS, EACH INSTALLED IN AN OFFICE BLOCK. ONE OF THE SYSTEMS HAS A ROTARY TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER AND THE OTHER HAS TWO HEAT EXCHANGERS CONNECTED BY A LIQUID CIRCUIT. THE PERFORMANCE OF THE SYSTEMS CAN BE DETERMINED FROM THE RESULTS AND AVERAGE EFFICIENCIES FOR AN ENTIRE HEATING SEASON CAN BE CALCULATED. THESE AVERAGE EFFICIENCIES ARE BETWEEN 28 AND 55% FOR THE REGENERATOR AND 53% FOR THE LIQUID-COUPLED HEAT EXCHANGERS IF THESE ARE BASED ON EXHAUST AIR. E.W.S.
