Energy savings in vapour compression refrigerating systems.
Author(s) : GRANRYD E.
Summary
The way a plant is operated and maintained, can influence the energy requirements considerably. One of the best advices to save energy is therefore to keep an eye on the operation and to update the operational instructions in a careful manner. In this paper, however, primarily technical aspects on the nature of different types of losses in vapour compression systems are discussed. Examples are given on cycle and component efficiencies, influence of temperature differences in evaporators and condensers, and of controls. Also some economic considerations will be illustrated.
