Author(s) : ZAHEER-UDDIN M.

Type of article: Article

Summary

Presents a study of temperature control of multizone indoor environmental spaces heated by a water-loop heat pump system. The system consists of a boiler, an evaporative cooler, heat pumps, a storage tank and environmental zones. Illustrates the system schematically. Develops an analytical model for the system plus a multivariable control strategy, which consists of both start-stop and integral mode controllers. Gives results showing the closed-loop system response subject to changes in heating and cooling loads.
