Type of article: Article
Summary
Reflux heat exchangers are described as functionally equivalent to the multistage rectification section of a distillation column. Four projects that show the value and effectiveness of reflux exchangers are discussed in detail, the concerned applications are: hydrogen recovery from demethanizer overheads, a low energy process for NGL and LPG recovery from natural gas, a simple process for recovery of ethylene from fluid-catalytic cracker and a similar process for olefin recovery from dehydrogenation-reactor offgas.
