Author(s) : SOKOLOV M., HERSHGAL D.

Type of article: Article, IJR article

Summary

AN EXPERIMENTAL, DOUBLE EJECTOR, COMPRESSION ENHANCED REFRIGERATION CYCLE HAS BEEN DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED. THE SELECTION OF DESIGN POINTS AND COMPONENTS IS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL. TESTS INDICATE THAT THE SYSTEM IS CAPABLE OF SMOOTH ADAPTIVE OPERATION WHEN THE DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT VARY WITHIN THE DESIGN LIMITATION. THE 2 EJECTORS WERE TESTED SEPARATELY AND THEIR ACTUAL AND DESIGN PERFORMANCE WERE CLOSE TOGETHER. NO START-UP, RUNNING OR SHUT-DOWN PROBLEMS WERE ENCOUNTERED. A METHOD OF INCORPORATING AN HEATING MODE IN THE SAME SYSTEM IS ALSO DESCRIBED.
