Summary

A MODEL PROBLEM DEALING WITH MEASURING THE FROZEN ZONE DIMENSIONS IN BIOLOGICAL TISSUE AROUND A CRYOPROBE BY THE METHOD OF ULTRASONIC LOCATION OF THE ZONE FRONT AT THE SIDE OF CRYOPROBE IS CONSIDERED. IT HAS BEEN SHOWN NUMERICALLY THAT FOR CORRECT CALCULATION OF THE FROZEN ZONE DIMENSIONS WHICH ARE IN AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE ULTRASONIC VELOCITY IN THE MEDIUM SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
