Summary

This study dealt with the characterization of CO2 hydrates in a dynamic loop in the presence of surfactants. The aim was to make use of two-phase secondary refrigerants. Two approaches were used: i) rheological characterization of hydrate slurries generated using a water-CO2-surfactant system was conducted, and comparison of the results obtained with those obtained in previous investigations without surfactants was performed; ii) the second approach enabled investigation of hydrate formation kinetics under the same operating conditions.
