TWO FACTORS, THE DEGREE OF CONTAMINATION, WHICH IS ALREADY BEING USED IN GERMANY, AND ITS RECENTLY INTERNATIONALLY INTRODUCED RECIPROCAL VALUE, THE VENTILATION EFFECTIVENESS, ARE CONSIDERED APPROPRIATE STANDARDS FOR MOST TASKS. THE AUTHOR'S OPINION IS THAT, IN ORDER TO ADAPT TO INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS, THE VENTILATION EFFECTIVENESS SHOULD BE FAVOURED.
