Evaluating the stability of the methanol-lithium bromide pair.
[In German. / En allemand.]
Author(s) : ACKERMANN P.
Type of article: Article
Summary
This paper looks at the stability of methanol-lithium bromide from a different viewpoint. The solubility of the gaseous reaction product was considered. The increase in pressure at a constant temperature was used to calculate product formation rates. Product formation and product solubility determined the qualification of the mixture as a working pair in absorption machines. Product formation can be influenced by construction materials. Stability was increased by adding new inhibitors.
