Summary
The value of isobutane in domestic refrigerating equipment was studied by the authors. Complete global warming factors during production and operation of domestic refrigerating equipment were considered. An ecological thermoeconomical coefficient for refrigerators where isobutane is used as a working fluid was calculated. It is shown that the conversion of domestic refrigerating equipment to fire hazardous isobutane is not justified from an ecological point of view.
