EVALUATION OF THE LOCAL COST OF COLD LOSSES AND PRESSURE DROP IN REFRIGERATING SYSTEMS.

Author(s) : MACZEK K., SZARGUT J.

Summary

THE THERMAL INSULATION THICKNESS AND THE PIPE DIAMETERS FOR COLD FLUIDS CAN BE OPTIMIZED SEPARATELY. THE AUTHORS SUGGEST DETERMINING THE LOCAL COST OF COLD LOSSES AND PRESSURE DROP IN PIPING BY MEANS OF A COMPENSATION METHOD CONSISTING OF USING THE SMALLEST COMPENSATION COSTS. IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE THE COSTS OF PRESSURE DROPS, THE DISCHARGE COST OF A COOLED FLUID AND THE COLD LOSSES DUE TO FRICTIONAL HEAT DURING FLOW THROUGH THE PIPING SHOULD BE CONSIDERED.
