IN THE PAPER THE TWO-NODE THERMAL REGULATION MODEL DEVELOPED AT KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN USED AS A TOOL IN ASSESSING AND IDENTIFYING LIMITS OF ACCEPTABILITY OF HOT INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENTS, AND IN PLANNING WORK-REST CYCLES FOR THESE ENVIRONMENTS. OTHER APPLICATIONS OF MODELLING HUMAN RESPONSES ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.
