Summary
THIS PAPER REPORTS THE FINDINGS FROM 2 INDEPENDENT TESTS CONDU CTED IN AN ENVIRONMENTAL CHAMBER ; 1 WITH CEILING FAN AND THE OTHER WITH OSCILLATING FAN. TOTAL OF 189 TEST SUBJECTS WERE INVOLVED IN THE TWO-HOUR LONG TESTS. EACH SUBJECT VARIES THEIR LOCATIONS IN RELATION TO VELOCITY AND VOTES ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL COMFORT BALLOT FOR EACH SPECIFIC POSITION. THREE DIFFERENT CLIMATE CONDITIONS WERE TESTED. CONCLUSIONS INCLUDE SUBJECTS' ACCEPTANCE AND PREFERENCE ON SEATING LOCATION, OSCILLATING FREQUENCY, THERMAL COMFORT, AND THERMAL SENSATION.
