Evaporative cooler.

Author(s) : NOZADZE S., PALM B.

Summary

This paper proposes an economically competitive type of air conditioning system employing an absorption type thermal process whereby low-grade heat can be successfully used. The method is based on the ability of some liquids to absorb water vapour from the air. After the absorption, water with ambient temperature is sprayed into the dry air. The air is then evaporatively cooled and moisturized. An important advantage of the discussed system is that low-grade heat or waste heat can be used for air conditioning.
