EVAPORATOR PERFORMANCE OF TWO-PHASE THERMOSIPHON LOOP HEAT EXCHANGERS UNDER CONSTANT HEAT FLUX BOUNDARY CONDITIONS.

Summary

THE PAPER PRESENTS A COMPARISON OF THE SIMULATED AND THE MEASURED PERFORMANCE OF THE EVAPORATORS OF 2 DIFFERENT TWO-PHASE THERMOSIPHON LOOP HEAT EXCHANGERS WITH CONSTANT HEAT FLUX BOUNDARY CONDITIONS IMPOSED ON THE EVAPORATOR TUBES. THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES WERE SIMULATED USING A COMPUT THE WORKING FLUIDS USED IN THE EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES WERE R113 AND R11. IT WAS FOUND THAT THE COMPUTER PROGRAM WAS CAPABLE OF SIMULATING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE 2 EXPERIMENTAL LOOPS IN A SATISFACTORY MANNER.
