Type of article: Article, Case study
Summary
Carbon dioxide is a natural refrigerant with a tradition going back more than 100 years and which is simply ideal particularly for today's energy and environment situation. In the early '90s, researchers and practitioners rediscovered the gas primarily on account of its high energy efficiency. Since then, numerous applications have been developed in refrigeration technology which are used in a wide range of different industries.
