Summary
TEWI notion is widely used to characterise the action of a refrigerating equipment on the greenhouse effect. Certainly, this notion is incomplete because it does not include: the production of CO2 inherent to the manufacture of the installation's components; and the consequences of the equipment's suspension of activity and destruction. An evaluation method for these disadvantages is proposed.
