Summary
A small number of users are committed to secondary systems, whilst others are either evaluating or using them on a trial basis. The paper aims to give an overall view of the current development, application and limitations, of a limited number of secondary fluids, cooled by non-hazardous and hazardous primary refrigerants, in a small number of supermarkets in Europe.
