Summary

In recent years the quality and performance of high-powered axial fans with sickle-bladed impellers has been proven in practical applications, giving low noise emission, improved efficiency and higher air performance. They are currently available in diameters of 315 to 1000 mm. Used in conjunction with modern electronic control techniques, reliable, maximum-efficiency systems for refrigeration technology can be created that are characterised by exceptionally low noise and high-economy operation. Optimum results, however, can only be achieved if both fan and control system are carefully selected and matched.
