Summary
Over the years, many both industrial and commercial refrigeration systems have been installed in Sweden using CO2 and a couple of demonstration plants have been made with a brine solution for the medium temperature side. The cascade technology installed and discussed in this paper was sold without subsidies. These systems have been installed on normal commercial conditions. This paper covers the experiences gained from some of the plants and plant types. Experiences gained under a major power blackout on 23 September 2003 are also discussed.
