Experiment of indoor temperature and velocity field for displacement ventilation.

Type of article: Article
Summary
The author obtained measured results of vertical temperature distribution and three dimensional temperature filed in a single heat source condition; the experiment results reveal that: 1) the heat source exerts little influence on the horizontal distribution of indoor temperature and no heat or pollution spreading is observed; 2) the air velocity inside the room is quite uniform (except for an upward convective thermal jet from the heat source); 3) heat loss through the envelope has minor effects on the height of the thermocline and the outside temperature can somewhat change the vertical temperature distribution indoors.
