Summary

A fresh water generation system designed for converting brackish water or seawater into fresh water utilizing low grade of temperature. In this paper fresh water generation with evaporates the water and subsequently the vapor is condensed to get fresh water (distillation process) were studied and city water was used as feed water to investigate the characteristic of the system. The system uses the ejector to create a vacuum, under which liquid can be evaporated at much lower temperature and with less energy than conventional techniques. The effect of various operating condition (temperature of water heating) and different orifice diameters were studied experimentally. It was found that temperature of feed water to the evaporator and orifice diameter have significant effect in the performance of fresh water generation system.
