EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON CONVECTIVE HEAT TRANSFER FOR FULLY DEVELOPED TURBULENT WATER FLOW IN A HORIZONTAL PIPE WITH UNIFORM HEAT FLUX FROM THE WALL. THE APPARATUS AND THE EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE ARE DESCRIBED, AND THE RESULTS OF TWO TESTS WITH REYNOLDS NUMBERS OF ABOUT 16,000 AND 22,000, RESPECTIVELY, ARE REPORTED: EXPERIMENTAL HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS LIE BETWEEN THOSE CALCULATED BY THE DITTUS BOELTER AND SPARROW CORRELATIONS.
