Summary

Experimental data on solubility of the mixed refrigerants and their components in compressor oils are presented. The solutions of R410? / ??? oil ISO 32, mixture refrigerant NH3 / RE170 with mineral oil ISO 68, and mixture refrigerant NH3 / RE170 with mineral oil ISO 46 are investigated. An azeotropic mixture of refrigerants NH3 and RE170, consisting of 60wt.% NH3 and 40wt.% RE170, is proposed as the alternative to ammonia. The composition of mixed refrigerant dissolved in the compressor oil, and the composition of vapor coexisting in equilibrium with these solutions, are studied. The data obtained for the selective solubility of the components of the azeotropic mixture of refrigerants NH3 / RE170 in compressor oils indicate that formation of the working fluid in the crankcase takes place with violation of the initial composition. Consequently, the composition of working fluid circulating in the compressor system is different from the azeotropic one.
