Experimental investigation of the triple-functional air-source heat pump.

Author(s) : ZHAO J., QU H., CHEN Y.

Summary

Triple-functional air-source heat pump (TFASHP) has become increasingly popular in China, for its utilization of the discharged heat to produce domestic warm water in summer in which the primary energy can be saved and contribution can be made to the environment. In this study, an experimental system with a monitor and control generated system was established for the TFASHP heat pump. The heat pump system has been in operation during the whole summer season in Tianjin, China, and the experimental data were investigated. The results show that the overall performance factor of the system is improved by an average of 1.22 by heat recovery from the condensation heat. This factor is mainly influenced by the way and amount of using the domestic warm water for a standard product, in addition, it is an important parameter when designing the water storage tank of the system.
